Technical Parameters

Ceramic beads are zirconia-based blasting media, obtained in special production process and unique formula. ZrO2 62-65%, HS code 690919. The beads are no dust, durable and efficient, offering consistent surface finishing, are new eco-friendly blasting material, widely used for blast cleaning and surface preparation. Ceramic beads blasting media is made of mineral oxides of zirconia sand through electro fusion in ore furnace. It has a fine internal structure of zirconium crystals in a glassy silicon dioxide cover, and this structure leads the ceramic beads of high density and high shock resistance.

Ceramic Beads are extremely tough and fracture resistant, ensuring consistent surface finishes.

5 .  Ceramic beads Applications 
 1).Molds Cleaning

Removal of carbon deposits and other impurities from glass making and rubber tire molds, without damaging the surface or critical edges. Deburring thin gaskets.

2).Surface finishing

Cleaning, sanitizing and surface finishing of fabricated stainless steel items for food and pharmaceutical industries. Blasting gives stainless steel a satin grey touch

3).Medical implant and instrument surface finishing.

The corrosion resistance and wear resistance of ceramic beads are their core performance indicators, and the testing method needs to be combined with their application scenarios (such as industrial grinding, chemical anti-corrosion, biomedical, etc.), and evaluated through simulated actual working conditions or standardized experiments. The following are specific testing methods and principles:

 

1) . Chemical medium immersion test (most commonly used)

Principle: Place ceramic beads in a specific corrosive medium, let them stand or circulate at a certain temperature and time, and evaluate their corrosion resistance by measuring the physical and chemical changes before and after corrosion. 

 

2) . Electrochemical corrosion testing

Principle : By measuring the electrochemical parameters of ceramic beads in corrosive media (such as corrosion potential, current density), the corrosion resistance of ceramic beads can be quickly evaluated (applicable to conductive or semiconductor ceramics, such as partially doped ceramic beads).
