Zirconia Silicate beads is one of ceramic grinding media, its advantage is the zirconia grain size is relatively even moderately, with moderate density and strength, can be applied in grinding and dispersing materials like calcium carbonate, kaolin, magnetic band, titanium dioxide, ink, coating and paints, etc..

3 . Zirconia Silicate beads  Application advantages
‌1 .  Grinding efficiency: High density (>4.0 kg/dm ³) and hardness (HV1 about 1000) are suitable for medium to low viscosity slurries, especially for sand mills (line speed 9-12 m/s)

‌2 .  Cost effectiveness: Compared to yttrium stabilized zirconia beads (95% ZrO ₂), it has a lower cost and is suitable for fields such as coatings and paints that are sensitive to impurities
‌3 .  Applicable fields: including nano grinding of calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, and silicon-based negative electrode materials for lithium batteries

 

4 .  Purchase Recommendations 

1 .  It is recommended to use 2.0-3.0mm zirconium silicate beads or zirconia beads for open vertical sanders.

2 . It is recommended to use 0.6-3mm zirconium silicate beads or zirconia beads for closed vertical sanders.

3 . The traditional horizontal sander is recommended to use 1.0-3.0mm glass beads or zirconium silicate beads.

4 . It is recommended to use 0.6-2.0mm zirconia beads for the horizontal pin sander.

5 . Turbine horizontal sand mills are recommended to use 0.4-2.0mm zirconium silicate beads or zirconia beads.

6 . 1.0-2.0mm zirconium silicate beads are recommended for special-shaped cylinder sanders.

7 . It is recommended to use 0.6-2.5mm zirconium silicate beads or zirconia beads for the profiled disc sander.

8 . It is recommended to use 0.4-1.5mm zirconia beads for the ring sander.

9 . Centrifugal sand mills recommend the use of 0.05-0.80mm zirconia beads.
