Product Description of Glass Beads for Road Marking
Glass bead for road marking is one kind of glass bead used for road marking, also called road marking glass beads, reflective glass beads, are colorless and transparent glass beads.
Intermix glass beads are blended into road marking paint and thermoplastics during the manufacturing process. Drop on glass beads are dropped on the surface of the markings during the construction of road marking, to achieve an instant reflective effect. The drop on glass beads are directly sprinkled on the wet marking paint on the road surface.
So, when driving at night, the lights of the car shine on the road marking line with glass beads, which can make the car lights reflect back in parallel, so that the driver can see the direction of travel clearly and improve the safety of driving at night.

4. Product Features and Advantage
The chemical composition is inert silicon dioxide without disturbance of chemical activity.
Smooth surface and good finish. Beads are transparent, clean, colorless glass and free from milkiness, pits, or excessive air bubbles.
High roundness, with at least 80% roundness.
Glass beads with good hardness can prolong the paint life.
No ferrous substances or other harmful substances and ECO friendly.

7. Usage of Glass Beads for Road Marking
Generally, 18-25% (weight percentage) of glass beads are proposed to be mixed into marking paint during production process. Different countries may have different usage slightly.
After application of such kind of paint on road work, the paint can still keep reflective after wear and friction of vehicle wheels.
